ChamberArtsFest 2009
Welcome to the CAF International Chamber Music Festival! Since the inception of our program six years ago, CAF has presented an intensive and rewarding summer program for young musicians and college and high school age with daily rehearsals, coachings, masterclasses, and performances.
Our 2009 program runs from July 13th to August 1st. ChamberArtsFest is part of MusiShare, Inc.'s Young Artist Program which provides music students, teachers, and enthusiasts with online and onsite environments for learning, sharing, and promoting ideas which enhance their musical abilities. MusiShare is a member of ASCAP, Chamber Music America, and NAMM.
Please see our information page for current updates to this year's festival.

About the Festival
William Fitzpatrick created ChamberArtsFest (CAF) in 2003 in an effort to bring students and young artists together in the remarkable world of chamber music. Having had the opportunity to perform and train with so many icons of the chamber music world during his youth and throughout his career, Mr. Fitzpatrick feels that it is extremely important to pass along this passion to today's younger artists, helping them to absorb the collective experiences of ensemble music
From major local concert venues in Orange County, California, USA to destinations around Europe and Japan, CAF has presented concerts around the globe. The 2006 session even took our entire festival to the grounds of the chateau Moulin d'Ande in Normandy, France! Our artist faculty in previous years has included Robert Becker (Principal Viola, Pacific Symphony Orchestra), Myriam Cottin-Rack (Assoc. Concertmaster, Stockton Symphony, Principal Second, Napa Valley Symphony), William Fitzpatrick (former Director of Chamber Music, American Conservatory, Fontainebleau), Peter Marsh (Director of String Chamber Music, USC), Yoko Matsuda (former first violinist of the Yale and Sequoia String quartets), and Margaret Parkins (Mojave and Eclipse Trios). We have also hosted guest classes by Jonathan Davis (University of California, Los Angeles) and pianist Nina Scolnik (University of California, Irvine).
CAF 2009 consists of two programs. The advanced program for students of college age runs two weeks from July 13th to July 25. Due to popular demand, we are bringing back our adult amateur session (for players of all ages and ability levels) runs one week from July 25 to August 1. Although the age-range for each of the programs is in place to assure an appropriate and relevant experience for the performers, younger players of exceptional ability and maturity may be permitted to participate and will be considered for placement in the program on a case-by-case basis.
